I have yet to find another anime as awesome as Kenshin, but there are some that come close.
Here are some samurai anime that I would recommend for any Kenshin fan:
Sword of the Stranger (2007)
One of the few anime I've seen that can match the Kenshin OVA battle scenes in terms of fluidity and beauty. Sword of the Stranger has top notch production values, and absolutely stunning animation, especially if viewed in High Definition. Nanashi, one of the main characters, also bears a striking resemblance to Kenshin - a samurai with scars on his face, red hair (which he dyes black to avoid suspicion) and a past tainted with bloodshed.
Samurai Champloo (2004)
I'm pretty sure most people have seen this one. There are some very nicely animated fight scenes in this show, and the contrast between Mugen and Jin create an interesting dynamic.
Peace Maker Kurogane (2003)
Don't let the cartoony character design or the childish main character deceive you, this anime can actually be quite dark and bloody at times. This anime takes place during the same time period as the Kenshin OVA, but focuses on the Shinsengumi. It's interesting to see the different interpretations of Okita Soji and Saito Hajime, as well as the Bakumatsu events unfold from the Shinsengumi perspective. The pacing is a bit slow at first, but the awesome finale was well worth it.
Samurai Deeper Kyo (2002)
Kyo is a probably one of my favorite anime characters. A totally bad-ass samurai who is supremely confident in his skills and isn't afraid to show it. The anime deviated a lot from the manga by adding strange monsters as the enemies, and the animation wasn't very impressive, but I still found it enjoyable.
Shigurui: Death Frenzy (2007)
Be warned, this is a very gory and disturbing anime. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I definitely appreciated the excellent animation and realistic character design. The fights are incredibly brutal, and every single character seems to suffer from some sort of mental condition. This is one of those animes that doesn't really have an ending because it's based on a continuing manga.
